چکیده

Abstract We investigate the pulsating behavior of KIC 2857323 using high-precision observations from Kepler mission. Fourier analysis 4 yr time-series data reveals five independent frequencies for light variation. Among them, two strong f 1 and 3 with a period ratio 0.774 identify this star as double-mode (i.e., fundamental mode F0 first overtone F1) high-amplitude δ Scuti (HADS). Seismic modeling radial modes F1 indicates that is main-sequence mass M = 1.78 ± 0.02 ⊙ metallicity Z 0.009 to 0.012. analyze phase amplitude variations modulation method find shows slow decline in amplitude. discuss several possible causes variation speculate may be due pulsation energy loss. note HADS show warrants further study ascertain its nature.

A photometric monitoring of bright high - amplitude δ Scuti stars I . The double - mode pulsation of V 567 Ophiuchi

We present the first results of an observational project, which addresses the period changing behaviour of a sample of high-amplitude δ Scuti stars. In this paper we discuss the double-mode nature of V567 Ophiuchi. It was observed on 15 nights in two consecutive years in order to resolve the long-standing ambiguity related to its secondary period. A frequency analysis of almost 5000 individual ...

The first high-amplitude δ Scuti star in an eclipsing binary system

We report the discovery of the first high-amplitude δ Scuti star in an eclipsing binary, which we have designated UNSW-V-500. The system is an Algol-type semi-detached eclipsing binary of maximum brightness V = 12.52 mag. A best-fitting solution to the binary light curve and two radial velocity curves is derived using the Wilson–Devinney code. We identify a late-A spectral-type primary componen...

A&a Manuscript No. Pulsation Models of Scuti Variables I. the High{amplitude Double{mode Stars

The relations between high{amplitude Scuti stars and the much more abundant low{amplitude Sct variables are not clear. Both groups have similar periods and seem to have almost the same basic physical properties , although their light{curve characteristics are very diierent. In the last few years much improved observational data have been published, and improved theoretical physics | in particul...

A comprehensive asteroseismic modelling of the high-amplitude δ Scuti star RV Arietis

We present a comprehensive asteroseismic study of the double-mode high-amplitude δ Scuti star HD 187642 (RV Ari). The modelling includes some of the most recent techniques: 1) effects of rotation on both equilibrium models and adiabatic oscillation spectrum, 2) non-adiabatic study of radial and non-radial modes, 3) relationship between the fundamental radial mode and the first overtone in the f...

Line profile analysis of the δ Scuti star HD 2724≡BB Phe: mode identification and amplitude variations

The line profile variations of the δ Scuti star HD 2724≡BB Phe were studied on the basis of new 189 high– resolution spectrograms covering 52 hours of observations on a baseline of 8.3 days. By combining these results with those of a previous campaign 13 pulsation modes were identified: 5 of them are both photometric and spectroscopic, 3 are purely spectroscopic and 5 purely photometric. For th...
